BUSINESS ACCREDITATION
The Profit Through Productivity programme helps employers to work towards the Best Practice Forums Excellence Through People Accreditation scheme.
Excellence Through People (ETP)
ETP recognises employers who have measures in place to attract, employ and train staff which meet the minimum legal requirements and match best practice. It is based on 3 Codes:
Code of Good Recruitment Practice:
This sets down the key elements in an employers relationship with job applicants, including such commitments as the promise to respond to everyone seeking employment, and the provision of a full job description at the time of the interview.
Code of Good Employment Practice:
This is organised in five sections: Recruit and Select with Care, Offer a competitive Employment Practice, Developing Skills and Performance, Communicate Effectively and Recognise and Reward.
Code of Best Employment Practice:
This has five criteria Education Business Partnerships, Widening Access to Employment Opportunities, Providing Opportunities to Gain Qualifications, Taking on a Training Apprentice and Making a Formal Public Commitment to Achieve Recognition as an Investor in People.
ETP accreditation also provides a very good basis to then progress to Investors in People (IiP), helping you to put in practice actions that are essential for IiP.
